I am currently marking (evaluating) all student's Daily Notes and Daily Log and Practical toward their summative.
There is only two weeks left.
All students need to give their very best effort, including:
- neat printing, print like a pro
- always include year/make/model
- details, details, details
- step by step
- proper terminology
- tools/equipment
- theory
- safety
- keep busy, if you are not working, you better be cleaning
- take the time and make the effort both in the shop and the notes/log
- remember, I am evaluating what you know and are learning and your ability to both perform and communicate.
In the shop: marine
- 1996 Four Winns, Unlimited U17, customer; drain water from water cooled exhaust manifolds by locating and replacing 1" rubber caps at rear of manifolds over 1" pipe (tools: slot screwdriver); clean engine area with cleaners, brushes, and water; remove front seats (tools: Phillips screwdriver); remove carpet; remove carpet glue from floor (tools: hand scrapers and cleaners); replace horn fuse in fuse panel under dashboard, horn OK; replace bilge fuse, 20 amp, in fuse panel under dash, bilge OK, check blower, OK; disconnect and reconnect all wires at ignition/start switch on dash, due to engine would not start with key, OK; charge battery (equipment: 12volt battery charger); check and adjust tire pressure on trailer, 3 tires, 50psi; balance spare tire/wheel.
- 2005 Sea-Doo, GTI, customer; replace spark plugs x2 (tools: 3/8" drive ratchet, 3/8" drive, 21mm, 6 point, deep socket); add fuel stabilizer to fuel tank and run engine for 5 minutes to allow fuel stabilizer to reach carburetors; add environmentally safe anti-freeze to engine water cooling system by disconnecting rubber inlet hose at cylinder head, install modified, plastic funnel, add anti-freeze until it pours out front left exit and rear drain; clamp drain hoses; clean watercraft, cover, and trailer, ready for storage.
